The Annandale Hotel announced it will be going into receivership after venue owners Matt and Dan Rule met with the bank yesterday to discuss debt issues.

The hotel has been involved in lengthy court battles over noise complaints from nearby residents. Despite winning the case, the owners were left with substantial court costs to cover which eventually crippled the business.

Josh Pearson, Drummer for King Colour, said the Annandale was an important venue for live music and gave many young musicians a start in the industry.

Our band has played there many times. Everyone will be sad to see it go.”
