Raw Aussies take Australia Day challenge

Nearly three thousand competitors spent Australia Day covered in sweat and mud through a six kilometre obstacle course at Doyalson yesterday for the 2013 Raw Challenge.

The six kilometre long course featured cargo nets, tyre walls, monkey bars and dam crossings, designed to test the physical and mental limits of its competitors.

Laurie Ellis, Event Manager for the Raw Challenge, said the competition fostered a strong sense of team work and camaraderie amongst participants of all ages and abilities.

There’s nothing more Aussie than getting down and dirty with your mates and a cold beer at the finish line” said Mr Ellis.
